Greater customer proximity and increased flexibility planned
Kuehne + Nagel is streamlining its organizational structure. At the same time, customer proximity is to be strengthened, according to a press release issued by the international logistics group.
The Board of Directors of Kuehne + Nagel International AG has decided on a new direct reporting channel for the country organizations. The company expects this to lead to further efficiency gains and profitable growth.
Simplified responsibilities
The existing regional structure is to be dissolved. Where it makes sense, it will be integrated into Kuehne + Nagel's global Group functions. In future, the respective cluster and country heads will report directly to the Management Board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG.
The new structure will be accompanied by a simplification of responsibilities. According to the company, this will enable Kuehne + Nagel's business and functional units to continuously adapt their strategy in line with current market developments. This will enable the divisions to react quickly to changes, according to the Group. The new structure also ensures greater consistency at a global level and improves access to customers.
Jörg Wolle, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuehne+Nagel International AG, explains: "With the elimination of the regional management levels, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is streamlining its organizational structure and thus creating the conditions for further efficiency gains in order to be able to act even faster and more flexibly in the increasingly dynamic global trade environment."
