Award for Austria's best family businesses
The wood-based materials manufacturer Egger has been named Austria's best family business. The "Austria's Best Family Businesses" award was presented on May 15, 2024.
Every year, the daily newspaper Die Presse organizes this award together with Bankhaus Spängler, the auditing firm BDO and the Austrian Chamber of Notaries. The award is presented by a jury of experts.
Egger was the overall winner of this competition. The company, which was founded in 1961, can now call itself Austria's best family business.
Michael Egger Jr, Egger Group Head of Sales and Marketing, is delighted to have won the award and says: "The fact that we have received such recognition from independent experts fills us with great pride and once again confirms our strategic direction. This success would not be possible without the loyalty and innovative spirit of our employees."
According to Michael Egger, Egger has been a family business since its foundation and will remain so in the future. According to the company, Egger is a full-service provider for furniture and interior fittings, structural timber construction and wood-based flooring. According to its press release, the Egger Group generated a turnover of 4.45 billion euros in the 2022/2023 financial year.
