Rentschler Biopharma SE is planning to build a new buffer media station at the company's headquarters in Laupheim. According to Rentschler's press release, the aim of the new facility is to increase production efficiency. It is also intended to modernize the site in order to be able to meet future demand. It is the company's largest single investment in Germany.

According to its press release, the family-owned company has been producing biopharmaceuticals for over 50 years. Buffer and media solutions are the essential basis of biopharmaceutical production.
Buffer media station on an area of 3,400 square meters
A four-storey building is now being erected. A modern buffer media station will be built there on an area of 3,400 square meters, according to the press release. The new building will be connected to the existing infrastructure.
The family business reports that detailed planning for this building has already begun. The construction phase is due to start in spring 2025. Rentschler has set the end of 2027 as the date for completion and commissioning. The new buffer media station should then be fully operational in 2028.
