Award for Regensburg plant
The BMW Group receives the "Factory of the Year" award for its vehicle plant in Regensburg. The award for the Regensburg factory is presented in the category "Outstanding Series Production".
According to the company, the Regensburg plant is one of more than thirty BMW Group production sites worldwide. Up to 1,400 BMW X1 and BMW X2 vehicles are produced there every working day.
Innovative strength and dynamism
According to BMW, the "Factory of the Year" award is one of the most prestigious industrial competitions in Germany.
The award is sponsored by Süddeutsche Verlag Veranstaltungen GmbH, the trade journal Produktion and the management consultancy Kearney. This year marks the 33rd time the award has been presented.

According to the BMW press release, a congress entitled "Factory of the Year" will take place in spring 2025. This will provide the framework for the award ceremony.
