World's largest yacht and water sports fair
Since Saturday, the water sports industry has once again been meeting in Düsseldorf for Boot. According to the organizer, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, visitors will find a wide variety of boats, dinghies, superboats and luxury yachts on the exhibition grounds until 26 January.
With over 200,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and 1,500 exhibitors on 220,000 square meters, Boot is the largest yacht and water sports fair in the world, writes the trade fair company.
In addition to the exhibition stands, there will also be a large stage program and workshops. The current edition of Boot will also focus on marine conservation and sustainable technologies, among other things, according to the trade fair company's press release.
55,000 visitors on the first weekend of the fair
Regarding the first days of the trade fair, the trade fair company writes: "The water sports community celebrated a strong weekend in 16 exhibition halls."
According to the organizer, a total of around 55,000 visitors from 89 countries attended Boot last weekend.
There were numerous boat premieres in both the superboat hall and the luxury yacht hall. Many of the futuristic yachts were ceremoniously unveiled at the weekend and presented to the public for the first time.
International global players in the industry
"This density of premieres is unique worldwide at a water sports trade fair," says Petros Michelidakis, Director of Boot. According to Michelidakis, many international global players in the industry use Boot Düsseldorf to launch their innovations for the coming water sports season. According to the trade fair director, the suppliers know that they have a high buyer potential in Düsseldorf.
