By contrast, Beiersdorf recorded an organic decline in sales of 5.4 per cent to 397 billion euros for its Tesa division.<\/p>\n
Strong growth of the Nivea brand<\/h3>\n
Nivea grew particularly strongly in the first quarter of 2024, by 12.6 per cent (including Labello).<\/p>\n
Vincent Warnery, CEO of Beiersdorf, commented: \u201eBeiersdorf has made an excellent start to 2024. All our key consumer brands grew in the first quarter. NIVEA led our portfolio with strong double-digit growth and sales increases in all regions, especially in Europe and the emerging markets.\u201c<\/p>\n
According to Warnery, Nivea's sales in the first quarter were also the highest ever achieved. This underlines the brand's continuing global popularity, he added.<\/p>\n
Forecast 2024: 6-8 per cent sales growth expected<\/h3>\n
As the Chairman of the Executive Board went on to explain, the success in the first quarter reinforces the company's goal of profitable growth. Beiersdorf is therefore raising its sales forecast for the year as a whole.<\/p>\n
