Challenging economic environment<\/h3>\n
According to its press release, GEA was able to increase both order intake and sales in 2024 despite a challenging environment. <\/p>\n
Incoming orders increased by 1.5 per cent compared to 2023 to around 5.553 billion euros. Turnover rose by 0.9 per cent from 5.373 billion euros in 2023 to 5.422 billion euros in 2024.<\/p>\n
GEA also reports an improvement in EBITDA before restructuring expenses and return on capital employed.<\/p>\n
GEA 2024 increased EBITDA before restructuring expenses by 8.1 per cent to EUR 837 million. The corresponding margin improved from 14.4 per cent to 15.4 per cent.<\/p>\n
The return on capital employed (ROCE) increased to 33.8 per cent (2023: 32.7 per cent).<\/p>\n
Successful transformation<\/h3>\n
According to the press release, GEA will pay all its employees a special bonus. This is intended to recognise the employees' contribution to the company's success.<\/p>\n

Positive outlook for 2025<\/h3>\n
The machinery and plant engineering company GEA is optimistic about the 2025 financial year and anticipates further profitable growth. According to the company, it expects organic revenue growth of between 1.0 and 4.0 per cent. This is based on increasing revenue, in particular through the expansion of the service business and the ongoing implementation of efficiency measures.<\/p>\n
