65 trains from the Spanish manufacturer Talgo<\/h2>\n

The mobility service provider Flix<\/a> is investing up to 2.4 billion euros in its railway division Flixtrain.<\/p>\n

Flixtrain ordered 65 high-speed trains for this purpose last Tuesday. According to the company, the trains will be built by Spanish manufacturer Talgo. Talgo will also provide certain maintenance services. The locomotives will be Siemens<\/a> deliver.<\/p>\n

According to Flix's press release, more than EUR 1 billion of the contract volume of up to EUR 2.4 billion has already been firmly committed.<\/p>\n

The new Trains<\/strong> are to drive expansion in Germany and other European countries, writes Flix.<\/p>\n

Great market potential<\/h3>\n

According to the company, the investment decision is a response to the growing demand for fast and affordable train journeys. According to Flix, it sees great market potential in Germany and Europe. Rail passenger transport in Germany is expected to grow by 45 per cent by 2030 compared to 2021. <\/p>\n

By 2024, Flixtrain claims to have already increased its service by 40 per cent. For the past year, the company also reports that it has achieved a significant increase in passenger numbers.<\/p>\n
