Central measures for emission reduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to a press release, DHL Group has made significant progress in 2025 on its journey to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. According to DHL, a central focus is on the use of sustainable fuels.<\/p>\n

In air freight, DHL is increasingly relying on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), according to its own statements, and has concluded a large-volume agreement in the USA that significantly reduces CO\u2082e emissions over the entire lifecycle. In sea logistics too, DHL intends to drive forward the use of sustainable marine fuels together with partners like CMA CGM.<\/p>\n

In parallel, the company is set to invest in new drive technologies. Hydrogen-powered lorries are being tested as a solution for low-emission long-haul transport, including in a new pilot project in the Middle East. For the last mile, DHL is consistently focusing on electromobility according to the company: in Germany, deliveries are increasingly emission-free thanks to a rapidly growing fleet of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

Investment in sustainable infrastructure<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

In addition to transport solutions, DHL is increasingly investing in energy-efficient and self-sufficient logistics sites, according to the press release. One example is a new warehouse in Thailand, which covers its entire energy needs through its own solar power plant with battery storage. Such projects aim to combine sustainability with security of supply and serve as a role model for future logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n
