Strategic realignment for international expansion

Fressnapf is repositioning itself for international growth. The provider of pet food recently announced the transformation of its German headquarters in Krefeld into an international support center.

With this strategic realignment, the company is positioning itself in the best possible way for further international expansion, said Fressnapf in its press release.

The aim is to optimally support the local units in the countries. Fressnapf also intends to focus more strongly on the individual needs of its customers.

Decentralization

In its press release, Fressenapf also mentions its claim to be the best omnichannel retailer for pet supplies in Europe. This claim is to be reaffirmed with the reorganization.

According to the company's statements, there will be a degree of decentralization. According to its statements, Fressnapf has so far been strongly controlled from Germany in accordance with a centralized approach. Now there will be an adjustment to the organizational structure.

In future, the German headquarters will be an international support center. The plan is to reduce central functions and strengthen activities in the individual countries. Fressnapf also writes about transferring more responsibility to the regional headquarters and streamlining processes at the Krefeld site.

Peter Pritchard, Interim CEO at Fressnapf/ Maxi Zoo, explains: "Our strategic realignment primarily reflects our strong commitment to our customers. The key to successful growth lies in being flexible and responding to local market needs.
