Electronically controlled air suspension for Hyundai buses
ZF's Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) division has started series production of the latest generation of its electronically controlled OptiRide ECAS air suspension for the Hyundai Motor Company. This means that this system is now also being used in buses from the South Korean vehicle manufacturer.
Lean system architecture
According to the ZF press release, the fifth generation of OptiRide is characterized by a particularly lean system architecture. According to the technology provider, the number of components required has been reduced. This should reduce installation costs. It also simplifies integration into truck and bus platforms.
Paweł Porczyński, Product Line Manager Chassis Structure for the CVS Commercial Vehicle Division, explains: "Our latest OptiRide generation builds on more than 6.5 million units sold and three decades of engineering expertise in the field of air suspension systems. The advanced system gives vehicle manufacturers maximum flexibility for even the most complex commercial vehicle applications."
