Strategic realignment of purchasing
Our client, a leading global machine and plant manufacturer, wanted to prepare strategically for the expected market recovery. Purchasing was previously decentralized, synergies remained unused and there was hardly any strategic management of suppliers across plants. The aim was to realize potential savings without jeopardizing the ability to deliver - and at the same time to further develop the purchasing structure.
A two-phase project was set up together with Kloepfel. The result: sustainable savings, clearly defined roles in purchasing and a new internal target image that was consistently anchored by managers and tight project management.
Transformation of an international purchasing organization
Our client, an international industrial company, wanted to strategically realign its purchasing department. The department was operationally stable, but lacked a clear strategic line, the processes were inconsistent and international coordination could be improved.
The aim was to integrate the purchasing organization more closely internationally, align it strategically and develop it methodically. With a continuous coaching and transformation program, Kloepfel Switzerland was able to achieve measurable progress together with the purchasing team. The first tangible successes became apparent after just a few months.
