ABOUT THE JOB

What's in store for you?

  • In your new position as a Commodity Management Expert (m/f/d), you will develop and implement the purchasing and supplier strategy for our global production sites in a cross-functional team
  • Together with the buyers at the production sites, you will identify the best suppliers and establish a global purchasing network
  • You carry out complex evaluations and analyses (demand, market, cost and supplier analyses)
  • You conduct price and contract negotiations in an international environment
  • You organize strategic purchasing worldwide for all requirements within the framework of the agreed targets and ensure that the targets are achieved independently
  • You identify and implement cost-cutting and price-reduction measures
  • For new development projects, you will work closely with Project Purchasing and ensure that suppliers are nominated in line with the strategy and objectives
  • You coordinate and moderate escalations in day-to-day business between suppliers and internal departments

What should you bring with you?

  • You have successfully completed a degree in (industrial) engineering or have comparable training or knowledge
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a strategic buyer or commodity manager in the automotive or automotive supply industry
  • You have a strong awareness of costs and quality as well as an analytical, conceptual and determined way of working
  • You are characterized by strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team and assertiveness
  • Very good German and English language skills, willingness to travel internationally and intercultural competence round off your profile
