ABOUT THE JOB

Lead Buyer Logistics (f/m/d)

What's in store for you?

  • Management of logistics process optimization and cost-saving projects (within procurement and distribution logistics)
  • Carrying out potential analyses for our customers to identify optimization needs
  • International freight purchasing for all modes of transport and negotiation of contracts
  • Tender management with electronic tendering tools and preparation and implementation of direct negotiations
  • Technical management of analysts, tender managers and logistics consultants in the back office
  • Partially independent preparation and evaluation of mass data and optimization of transport strategies with regard to quality and costs
  • Preparation of RFQs (Request for Quotations), SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) and support with operational implementations
  • Creation and presentation of customer presentations and support of sales activities

What should you bring with you?

  • Completed studies with a focus on transportation and logistics or many years of comparable professional experience
  • Several years of practical experience in purchasing logistics services or in tender management (>5 years)
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge of freight tendering tools, especially Ticontract desirable
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Methodological competence
  • A seasoned personality and a "consultant gene"
  • High level of independence, commitment and a strong ability to work in a team
  • Hands-on mentality
  • A good dose of humor
