Online retailer moves to Hamburg

Galaxus, a subsidiary of the Swiss Migros Group, is relocating its German headquarters to Hamburg. According to its press release, the online retailer needs more space.

Central location

Until now, Galaxus has had its German headquarters in the Hamburg district of Altona. From September, the online retailer will have its German office in the more centrally located Hoheluft-Ost district.

The new office is located very close to the Hofluftbrücke subway station. According to the company, this makes it easy to reach.

More space

According to the press release, the main reason for the move is the lack of space in the previous premises in Schützenstraße in Altona.

Sonja Kunz, Executive Assistant at Galaxus, says: "Unfortunately, Schützenstrasse is not a long-term solution."

Kunz goes on to explain that the company wants to offer all employees sufficient space. This space should not only be available for regular work, but also for spontaneous meetings.

According to the company, the new office will have an area of 924 square meters. There will be 62 workstations, several meeting rooms, a roof terrace and social rooms. According to the press release, the aim is to ensure that work can continue to be efficient, pleasant and modern in the future.
