Listed mechanical and plant engineering company

Our client, a world-leading mechanical and plant engineering company, wanted to strategically prepare for the expected market recovery. Procurement had previously been decentralised, synergies remained unexploited, and a cross-plant strategic management of suppliers hardly took place. The goal was to realise savings potential without jeopardising delivery capability โ€“ and at the same time to further develop procurement structurally.

A two-phase project was established together with Kloepfel. The result: sustainable savings, clearly defined roles in purchasing, and a new internal vision that was consistently anchored through management and stringent project management.
