Panattoni is developing its largest City Dock® project in Neuss

Panattoni City Dock

Extensive new-build project in a central location

According to the press release, the company Panattoni is planning its largest City Dock project to date in Neuss. A modern business park is to be built on an approximately 85,500 square metre site in the Hammfeld district, which was previously used by the US corporation 3M. According to Panattoni's statements, around 32,600 square metres of hall space and approximately 6,500 square metres of office space are planned. The project will be supplemented by numerous car and bicycle parking spaces. Implementation is to take place in two construction phases, starting with the western part of the site.

Sustainability and modern amenities in focus

According to the press release, Panattoni places great importance on a sustainable and future-oriented concept. Certification to the DGNB Gold standard is planned. This includes, among other things, the use of heat pumps, a photovoltaic system for energy generation, and a rainwater harvesting system. Furthermore, wellbeing areas for employees are to be created, and all 22 rental units will be equipped with e-charging stations. The aim is to create commercial spaces that are both functional and environmentally friendly.

Significance for the economy and urban development

According to Panattoni, the project is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups. The City of Neuss expressly welcomes the development and sees it as an important signal for the economic location. According to the press release, the cooperation between the city and the developer was constructive and led to a viable concept. Completion is planned for mid-2027, depending on the building permit, while construction is currently scheduled to start in October 2025.
