Koenig & Bauer prepares for Drupa

Focus on the packaging market and digital solutions

From 28 May to 7 June 2024, Drupa will once again take place in Düsseldorf after an eight-year break. Drupa is the largest trade fair for Printing and graphics industry worldwide.

Printing press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer will also be exhibiting in Düsseldorf. According to the Würzburg-based company, it will be showcasing new products on a stand measuring over 4,000 square metres. According to the announcement, Koenig & Bauer's trade fair appearance will be organised under the motto „More“.

Live events and hybrid shows

According to the press release, the presentation will focus in particular on the packaging market and Digital solutions. The three pillars of the company's so-called Exceeding Print strategy will have a significant influence on the trade fair appearance, as can be seen from the press manufacturer's press release. These pillars are sustainability, digitalisation and modularity.

The aim is to provide visitors with interesting insights into the many ways in which print production can be raised to a new level of efficiency.

Koenig & Bauer points out that in addition to the strategic core topics, the company's entire product portfolio will be on show at Drupa. According to the company, this will take place in a combination of live events and hybrid shows.

In the run-up to the trade fair, Andreas Pleßke, CEO of Koenig & Bauer, said: „As chairman of the drupa committee, I expect a spectacular trade fair with countless highlights. As CEO of Koenig & Bauer, I am looking forward to presenting our latest innovations in the fields of digitalisation and sustainability to visitors.“

Award ceremony: Green Dot Award

The printing press manufacturer has also announced that it will be presenting the Green Dot Award once again.

Koenig & Bauer explains that needs-based production, reduced resource consumption and optimised printing processes are top priorities for the company. As Andreas Pleßke explains, at Koenig & Bauer sustainability also means lower costs.

The Green Dot Award has been in existence for two years. It is intended to recognise companies that have already made innovative contributions to sustainable printing.

This year, the Gren Dot Award ceremony will take place on 31 May at the Koenig & Bauer stand.
