Thyssenkrupp plans to use the AI-controlled assistant
Siemens announces new functions for its Industrial Copilot. According to the technology group, it has improved the Engineering and operations processes of his co-pilot.
Siemens has been offering this assistant, called „Engineering Copilot TIA Essential“, on its marketplace, the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace, since July of this year.
The Siemens Industrial Copilot is the first assistant for engineering in an industrial environment to be supported by generative AI. The Munich-based technology company emphasises this in its press release.

According to Siemens, it is planned to equip the plants at Thyssenkrupp locations worldwide with the AI assistant. Siemens writes that the Industrial Copilot supports engineers in the creation of TIA Portal projects. According to the Siemens website, TIA is the abbreviation for Totally Integrated Automation.
