Despite rising prices and tight capacities on the logistics market, our customer was able to sustainably reduce its freight costs. The starting point were established structures without regular price negotiations and analogue processes without transparency. The digitalisation of shipping and invoicing data created a reliable basis for well-founded decisions for the first time. A tendering process with over 2,000 freight forwarders enabled the targeted use of their respective core competences in general cargo, LTL and FTL. The structured volume distribution and reduction of service providers ensured efficiency and cost benefits. At the same time, the digitalisation of registration, tracking and tracing processes accelerated workflows. The result: a modern, transparent and future-proof logistics concept that reduces costs and ensures quality.
