Global Category Manager (m/f/d) Direct Material

You are part of the Global Procurement Team in central, strategic purchasing.
Independent development and implementation of global and site-wide procurement group strategies (including global procurement market analyses, etc.), taking into account the company objectives for the procurement group to be managed (e.g. steel profiles and tubes, aluminium profiles, etc.).
Implementation of Supplier Lifecycle Management (selection, evaluation, development, phasing out, etc.)
Negotiation of annual price adjustments and major procurement projects, as well as framework, supply, and works contracts
Supply chain risk management and definition of necessary preventive and counter-measures
Identification and implementation of savings potentials to achieve global procurement goals
Coordination of multifunctional teams in purchasing projects (e.g. value analyses, savings projects, etc.)

Completed training, studies, or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing.
The ability to think strategically and develop long-term strategies for product groups
High technical affinity with an understanding of production technology
Technical interest and experience with product groups such as steel profiles and tubes, aluminium profiles, etc.
Very good communication skills and confident negotiation.
German language skills and advanced English skills
