About the position

(Junior) Buyer Freight Services / Tender Manager (m/f/d)

What lies ahead for you?

  • Support for logistical process optimisation and cost-saving projects (within procurement and distribution logistics)
  • Preparation and execution of potential analyses with our clients to identify optimisation needs
  • Support with international freight procurement across all transport modes (especially road) and with contract negotiation
  • Carrying out tender management with electronic tendering tools, as well as preparing direct negotiations
  • Preparation and Evaluation of Big Data
  • Drafting of RFQs (Request for Quotations), SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) and support with operational implementations
  • Creating customer presentations

What should you bring?

  • Completed studies with specialisations in transport and logistics or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in purchasing logistics services or in tender management (>2 years).
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Initial knowledge of freight tendering tools, particularly Ticontract, is desirable
  • Good spoken and written English skills
  • Independence, commitment and strong team spirit
  • Hands-on mentality
  • A good portion of humour
