Increased efficiency in maintenance at a steel company

Our client, ArcelorMittal, a global steel industry group, was struggling with unclear task allocation, a lack of prioritization, and inconsistent processes in its maintenance department. In addition, there was no structured CIP basis for continuous improvement, which meant that efficiency potential remained untapped and the productivity of the maintenance team was limited.

The goal was to significantly increase the productivity of the maintenance team, establish a uniform and transparent maintenance process, and provide methods for all trades.

With our support, productivity was increased by 34%, the standardized method was successfully implemented for all trades, and plant utilization was significantly improved.

Efficient inventory management at a non-food discounter

Our client, a leading non-food discounter, faced significant challenges in its supply chain. Stock shortages and storage bottlenecks repeatedly led to inefficient material flows and delayed deliveries to stores. In addition, there was no clear and consistent forecasting strategy to accurately plan demand and optimally control the flow of goods.

The aim of the project was to develop a holistic forecasting strategy for the sustainable reduction of stock bottlenecks. At the same time, the goal was to significantly improve delivery capabilities and optimize inventories along the entire value chain.

As part of our collaboration, transparency was created across the forecasting chain, a strategy for reducing stockouts was developed, and a plan for optimizing the supply chain was implemented.
