Order for electric coolant pumps worth a three-digit million euro amount
Rheinmetall got a Major order for electric coolant pumps.
According to the Düsseldorf-based technology group's press release, the order comes from a well-known international car manufacturer. The value of the order is in the low three-digit million euro range.
According to the company, production, which is expected to run until 2030, has already begun. There is also a service contract with a planned duration until 2045.
Hybrid-powered vehicles
According to Rheinmetall, the car manufacturer will use the pump for hybrid-powered vehicles.
With regard to electric coolant pumps Rheinmetall explains that they make a significant contribution to emission control in modern engine designs. According to the company, the pumps can be used in both electric and hybrid applications.
According to Rheinmetall's press release, the supply of e-mobility hybrid components appears to be helpful in terms of its own commitment to transformation.
The Group emphasises that it has secured significant business in the field of e-mobility until 2030 with this order. According to Rheinmetall, it also expects to receive further orders from the customer. According to Rheinmetall, the customer wants to expand the proportion of hybrid and electric drives in its portfolio across all model variants.
