Our client, a leading non-food discounter, faced significant challenges in its supply chain. Stockouts and warehouse bottlenecks repeatedly led to inefficient material flows and delayed deliveries to branches. Furthermore, there was a lack of a clear and consistent forecasting strategy to accurately plan demand and optimally manage goods flows.
The project's objective was to develop a holistic forecasting strategy for the sustainable reduction of stockouts. At the same time, it was intended to significantly improve delivery capability and optimise inventory levels throughout the entire value chain.
As part of our collaboration, transparency has been created across the forecast chain, a strategy for reducing stockouts has been developed, and a plan to optimise the supply chain has been implemented.
