Product Compliance Manager (m/f/d)

What lies ahead for you?

  • Ensuring technical product compliance for IAM vehicle parts according to applicable legal and technical requirements
  • Assessment and implementation of regulatory requirements at national and international level
  • Continuous monitoring of new technical and regulatory developments
    Control and management of homologation, type approval and conformity assessment procedures
  • Close collaboration and cross-functional cooperation with internal departments such as product management, sales, quality assurance, purchasing, and legal.
  • Contact person for external auditing bodies, authorities and certification bodies
    Technical risk assessment and support in crisis and escalation management
  • Ensuring correct warning, safety, and labelling instructions
  • Operational implementation of regulatory requirements in existing product and process landscapes
  • Participation in strategic issues relating to product approval and international market requirements

What should you bring?

  • Completed technical degree, ideally in engineering
  •  Several years of professional experience in the technical/regulatory environment of the automotive industry or in the IAM automotive parts sector
  • Very high technical product understanding and distinct business focus
  • Experience in the practical implementation of regulatory requirements – not purely theoretical or research-oriented
  • Very good knowledge of substance law (esp. REACH, POP etc.) and due diligence law (esp. EUDR etc.)
  • Knowledge of labelling requirements based on German and EU legal acts
  • Expertise in the areas of: Homologation, type approval and conformity assessment procedures in Germany and the EU
  • High degree of personal initiative and willingness to continuously familiarise yourself with new technical specifications.
  • Assertiveness, as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Previous experience in crisis management advantageous
  • Very good German and English skills
