Your experts for optimising indirect procurement

Portrait of a man in a dark suit with a white shirt against a neutral background.
Three people in a meeting room, one person shaking hands with another.

We uncover hidden costs in indirect procurement and convert them into savings opportunities.

In many companies across industry, trade, or the service sector, indirect goods and services such as marketing, IT, telecommunications, facility management, fleets, logistics, or insurance have evolved historically and are usually managed decentrally by the specialist departments. Indirect procurement is often only marginally or not at all involved in the procurement processes.

Indirect costs, also known as overheads, often receive little attention, even though they tie up significant procurement volumes. Particularly in the services sector, there is often a lack of transparency regarding costs and performance. This is precisely where untapped savings potential lies. Despite high volumes, indirect procurement usually has limited personnel resources available to specifically leverage these.

With over 17 years of experience and an international team of more than 3,500 purchasing experts, we know how to translate theory into practical success. We create transparency, identify optimisation potential and develop individualised measures together with you to sustainably reduce your indirect costs.

Facilities Management

6-14% typical savings

Facility management often encompasses services such as maintenance and industrial cleaning, site security, servicing and upkeep. These areas are frequently outsourced without specific contracts and evolve over the years within their respective departments or specialist areas, leading to non-transparent costs. Through clear definition of service scopes, consolidation and regular performance evaluation, potential savings can be quickly identified and implemented.

We achieve this by utilising optimised framework agreements that facilitate better conditions and long-term cost reductions. Through a transparent and efficient procurement strategy, we ensure that your employees have access to the necessary materials at all times, while simultaneously avoiding unnecessary expenditure.

Optimisation of insurance and broker costs

Book wholesale

Our client, from the book wholesale industry, had high insurance and broker fees, as well as a non-compliant insurance programme with existing coverage gaps. The processes were inefficient and led to unnecessary costs.

The aim was to reduce insurance and broker costs, close coverage gaps, and bring the insurance programme into compliance. Through our work, savings of 35% on insurance costs and 70% on broker costs were achieved.

Holistic optimisation

Fleet and fleet management

Our client from the consumer goods and gastronomy sector used their fleet for both sales purposes and employee motivation. The existing car policy was minimally defined, and there were no existing large-volume customer contracts or framework agreements with manufacturers.

The aim was to holistically review the leasing conditions, identify savings potential, and optimise processes through new framework agreements. By analysing all costs and evaluating alternatives, savings of 9% were ultimately achieved with the existing supplier and 18% with an alternative provider.

Optimisation of shop fitting materials

Our client, a pan-European non-food discounter with around 4,000 branches, had a consistently high demand for shopfitting materials due to rebranding and expansion measures.

The objective was, among other things, to establish global sourcing and optimise the procurement strategy with regard to future expansion areas. The current service provider was evaluated and alternative sources were identified. In the end, savings of 10 % were realised with the incumbent supplier and 27 % with an alternative provider.
