Successor to Martin Daum
With the Daimler Truck Holding AG Karin Rådström will replace the previous CEO Martin Daum. The Supervisory Board has appointed Rådström as the new CEO until 31 January 2029.
Rådström will take over this position on 1 October this year. Martin Daum will continue to work for the commercial vehicle manufacturer as an ordinary member of the Executive Board until 31 December. The company writes in its press release that this will help to ensure a smooth transition.
With regard to Daum's work to date, Daimler Truck announced that under his leadership the company has improved its technological Transformation with both battery-electric and hydrogen-based drive systems.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG, Joe Kaeser, said that Martin Daum had successfully led the company through one of the most eventful periods in its recent history. He said that Daum was handing over a company that was well prepared for the challenges ahead.
Engineer with commercial vehicle experience
According to the company, Karin Rådström has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck since 2021. Since then, she has been responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
According to the press release, the engineering graduate has successfully increased the segment's profitability in a short space of time. She has also driven the transformation towards sustainability.
Rådström previously worked at Scania. There she was responsible for Sales & Marketing as a member of the Executive Board.
