Online retailer moves in Hamburg

Galaxus, a subsidiary of the Swiss Migros Group, relocates its German headquarters within Hamburg. The online retailer requires more space, according to its press release.

Central location

So far, Galaxus has its German headquarters in Hamburg's Altona district. From September, the online retailer will then be located with its German office in the more centrally located district of Hoheluft-Ost.

According to the company's explanations, the new office is located very close to the Hofluftbrücke underground station, meaning it is easily accessible.

More space

The main reason for the move, according to the press release, is primarily a lack of space in the previous premises in Schützenstraße in Altona.

Sonja Kunz, Executive Assistant at Galaxus, says: „Schützenstrasse is unfortunately not a long-term solution.“

Kunz further explained that the company wants to offer all employees sufficient space. This space is intended to be available not only for regular work but also for spontaneous meetings.

The new office will cover an area of 924 square metres, according to the company. It will feature 62 workstations, several meeting rooms, a roof terrace and communal areas. According to the press release, the aim is to ensure that work can continue to be carried out efficiently, pleasantly and in a modern manner in the future.
