Our client, a trading company with a high inventory level and warehouse processes requiring optimisation, commissioned us with comprehensive process and cost optimisation in the warehouse sector. The initial situation was characterised by a lack of KPIs, very low inventory turnover, and high capital commitments due to slow movers. Furthermore, long picking routes due to suboptimally utilised storage areas led to inefficiencies.
The aim was to significantly reduce annual warehousing costs, establish efficient warehouse management and implement key performance indicators for better control. Among other things, our measures enabled us to achieve a 10 % reduction in personnel costs in the warehouse.
