Our client from the automotive industry faced the challenge of optimising high special freight costs. Many time-critical transports were managed decentrally, numerous different service providers were used, and there was a lack of a specialist for special journeys. At the same time, cost transparency was insufficient.
The aim was to create transparency regarding the data basis, requirements, and costs. Costs were to be reduced by consolidating service providers with the help of a central specialist for special journeys. Additionally, a KPI system for runtime and cost controlling was to be established to continuously measure and manage efficiency.
