Our customer from the automotive industry was faced with the challenge of optimizing its high special transport costs. Many time-critical transports were managed decentrally, numerous different service providers were used and there was no specialist for special trips. At the same time, the transparency of costs was insufficient.
The aim was to create transparency regarding the database, requirements and costs. Costs were to be reduced by consolidating the service providers with the help of a central special transport specialist. In addition, a KPI system was to be set up for runtime and cost controlling in order to continuously measure and manage efficiency.
